The Short Version

Lootkar is an indie project. We collect only what's needed to make the service work, we don't sell your data, and only one person (the developer) has access to it. If you want your data deleted, just ask.

What We Collect

When you use Lootkar, we may collect:

  • Account info: Your name and email when you sign up.
  • Chat messages: What you type in the AI chat so we can give you shopping recommendations.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and basic device/browser info to help us improve the product.
  • Extension data: Product URLs and pricing info from supported e-commerce sites when you use the browser extension.

How We Use It

Your data is used to:

  • Power the AI chat, price tracking, and deal alerts
  • Personalize your recommendations
  • Send you updates or alerts (only with your consent)
  • Understand how the product is used so we can make it better

Analytics (Mixpanel)

We use Mixpanel to track anonymous usage patterns — things like which features get used and how often. This helps us prioritize what to build next. You can opt out via Mixpanel's opt-out page.

Data Sharing

We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your data may be shared only with the services that help run Lootkar (like Supabase for hosting and Mixpanel for analytics), or if required by law.

Data Security

All traffic is encrypted via TLS. Your data is stored on Supabase, a trusted cloud platform. Only the developer of Lootkar has access to your data, and only as needed to run the service. No security is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to keep your info safe.

Your Rights

You can:

  • Request a copy of your data at any time
  • Request deletion of your account and data (processed within 30 days)
  • Opt out of analytics tracking and marketing emails

Just email us and we'll take care of it.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll notify you via email or the website.
